OBJECTIVES
In the market in which SMS MEER S.p.A. operates, lead time is one of the reference indicators. Making investments focused on the containment of lead time while continuously improving the quality of the work carried out by each single company department will allow us to maintain competitiveness and increase the customer base.
WHY SAP and GPA
The ability to innovate the approach in the use of SAP applications combined with the project methodology, structured and standardised, applied by FORE has allowed us to achieve an ambitious and challenging goal. The upgrade project plan that we developed in a few weeks has not been under any constraints of our organization, which has its own international competence center to support system and technology issues.
KEY POINTS AND IMPLEMENTATION
GPA Group has been able to guide with the project priorities, from the adaptation of a state-of-the-art tools to the enhancement of our information assets. In this way we have achieved significant results in terms of data governance and multi-level process integration. This “new base” of reference is allowing us to implement functional innovation where it is considered most useful.
